 From the Race Around the corner data-base, here are some fab facts.
The grand total was 532 teams, that is a massive 1064 applicants.
The response from the girls was more than double that of the boys.

And there were an amazing amount of mixed teams - 41 - but most applied as single sex teams.

Applications from NSW came in fast and furious, finishing on a grand total of 382. But NSW does have a big population - so the Northern Territories made a great effort with 8. Here's the final result.

 Pretty good result all around
We would never have guessed it, but a massive 43.8% of all applicants have access to the internet. A whopping 233 teams downloaded their application forms from the net - no technology phobias there.
